Dear Injured Gadgets Customer,
In 2018 the U.S. supreme court decided that states may charge tax on purchases made from out-of-state sellers (South Dakota v. Wayfair,Inc.), even if the seller does not have a physical presence in the taxing state. As a result, Injured Gadgets is now responsible for charging and withholding state sales tax from customers who do not maintain a resellers license. We have engaged Avalara as our sales tax administrator, and they will be contacting you to get the information needed to ensure we our compliant with these changes.
Please note, if we do not have an active sellers license for you or your company then we are required to charge sales tax. This change will be implemented within our system over the next 3-5 weeks.
